Sun Country Honey was sold in foal in 2008 to Laura Miners. She foaled on Friday, February 6th, in Baker City, Oregon. We went to see the palomino filly when she was 10 days old and she is a beautiful girl. She was such a light color so it was hard to tell if she has any white spots or not. She did have a white face with eyeliner around both eyes. She also has 3 white socks and it looked like she might have two blue eyes. We are hoping for a white spot somewhere when she gets a little darker. She will be shown in the NWSSA as our stallion owner futurity entry, the NWCC futurity at Zone One, the PNPHC weanling filly futurity, the Oregon Bred weanling filly futurity, and the OPHB/TCF Open and Non-Pro futurities. She is a pretty mover and would make a great loungeline prospect as a yearling. Jasmin is not tall enough to compete in the early weanling filly halter classes at this time and she should be around 15.1 or 15.2 when she matures. What a great looking filly to represent our stallion. She has a cute little face
with lots of color. Two blue eyes, long legged, nice neck, and good hip. Cookie
is paid into the APHA Breeders Trust and the Washington Bred Registry, and is
eligible for the OPHB/TCF Non-Pro and Open Futurities, the Sierra Classic
Futurities, the Hells Canyon PHC Futurities, and Western Paint World Breeders
Challenge Futurities. Cookie placed 8th overall in the OPHB Triple Crown Open
late weanling filly futurity in October at Salem. She was such a late baby
that she did not have the size to compete. She earned 2 Points in the Open
Yearling Filly Class at Walla Walla in June. Cookie has the size to be a rider
and do halter, plus she would make an awesome broodmare, with her breeding. She
had 30 days of professional training and will be turned out for the winter and
ready to continue her training in the spring. Nice head set and pretty mover.
